How
do I know what type of vending machine I have?
Vending
machines can usually be identified by the coin mechanism connection.
8 Pin
coin mech (Single Price)
12
or 15 Pin coin mech (Micromech)
Molex
connection (Multi-Drop Bus MDB)
When
I power up the vending machine, "Out of Service 63" is displayed
on the Debitek reader...
Program
your prices using the data collector.
When
I power up by data collector, it displays "Trap" or
"Missing Proc" and will not function...
Remove
the battery from the data collector and disconnect the AC power.
Be sure the RAM pack and Datapak are in place. The Comms-link
cable must be connected. Hold down the "clear" key for 20 seconds
to clear the error. Note: Time must be reset in the data collector
when the battery is removed to clear errors.

My
bill validator will only take the bill in half way...
Clean
the validator (use bill validator cleaning cards for Rowe and
Mars brands). Check the stacker for jammed bills.
The
copier will not make a copy even though there is enough money
on the card for one copy...
Some
copy machines have late pulses called "exit delay." The exit
delay is programmable to prevent copies from being loaded into
the feed tray if there is not enough money on the card to make
copies.
After
making copies, my card will no longer work in any machine -
the display reads "9999"...
"9999"
is a security code written to the card. It alerts the site administrator
that something interrupted the cycle and needs to be investigated.
The
display on my Cash to Card reads "ERROR" with no error
number. How do I know what's wrong?
If
no error number is displayed, the problem is likely related
to the bill acceptor. Make a thorough check of the bill acceptor,
then cycle the power on the machine.
My
card reader is displaying "192" and won't function.
What does this mean?
Either
a "192" or a "193" on the reader signify
that factory service will be required. Both problems are related
to the reader's microprocessor and typically cannot be repaired
in the field.
Card
reader display's "STARTING" ?
Connect
the Palm data collector to the card reader. Power down the machine.
Power up the machine with the Palm data collector connected.
This will allow you re--program the configuration on the reader.
